I'm an inexperienced
rider. How will I find the bikes?
The XR650R is a surprisingly agile machine and isideal for the wide-open
Baja terrain. Also, we never schedule novice and expert riders on
the same tour. For those requiring ease-of-use, the electric start
Suzuki DRZ400 is just for you! See our Riding
Experience page for more information. |
How should
I prepare for riding Baja?
We don't race - you don't have to be in perfect physical shape to
ride Baja. However, we recommend that you start drinking plenty
of water at least a week prior to starting a tour. This way your
body is hydrated ready for the ride. Remember that no matter how
hot or cool the weather is, your body always needs water. If you
haven't ridden in a while, try to get some saddle-time in before
you come on the tour, then you won't be surprised when you come
to ride. |
What sort
of accommodation can I expect?
BORA puts you up in very good quality hotels, by Baja standards.
For example, in Ensenada, your room is large and roomy, and you
have access to a swimming pool and bar. In San Felipe, the hotel
is ON THE BEACH, as well as being close to a bar and pool.
All rooms have showers and the normal facilities. Accommodation
is based on double-occupancy. |
Do you do
longer tours?
We can cater for those customers who wish to spend longer in Baja.
For example, for an extra $400, we can add a day and take you to
San Quentin. This includes a 20-mile blast down virgin beaches.
And the restaurant in San Quentin is one of the best in Baja. |
How do we
eat on the trail?
The BORA chase vehicle makes a regular rendezvous with the riding
group each day. We feed you up on a freshly prepared lunch, as well
as energy foods, drinks, snacks and drinking water. You should not
need to bring your own food, unless you have special dietary needs. |
