The next morning, we
give you two options:
- A 50-mile ride south of town
leading out into the desert to see the giant Cardon Cactus that
towers 30 feet above the desert floor. Our return loop will
take us back to San Felipe along the beach
- Relax on the beach and shop
for souvenirs!
Whichever you choose (and not many people go for the
shopping), we will be leaving midday for the famous Mike's Sky Rancho.
Mike's is a hotel located 100 miles north at the base of Mt. Diablo,
which is 10,000 ft in elevation. Mike senior was a well-known and
respected Baja figure and several times class winner in past Baja
500 and Baja 1000 races. Now, his oldest son Mike is the boss and
bartender of the hotel's infamous celebrity bar. Here, you may rub
elbows with some of the world's most famous racers - off road and
on. No matter whom you meet, the tales told about Baja at Mikes
will be unforgettable. |

On your third and final
day, after a good hearty breakfast, we will be heading west approximately
65 miles to the Pacific Ocean. Once there, we will turn north and
be riding the last 40 miles right next to the ocean. You will pass
many beautiful sections of sandy beaches as we head toward Santo
Tomas where the chase vehicle will be waiting to return you to San
Diego.
This completes our normal four-day tour.
5-Day Tour is the same as our 4-Day, except that on day 2 we ride to Coco's Corner and Gonzaga Bay!
